Heather Meeks, DC
Dr. Heather Meeks is a 2018 Graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
While at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Meeks trained in the sports injury and rehabilitation department, where she worked extensively with Palmer College’s men’s and women’s rugby football teams. Prior to graduation from Palmer College, she completed a clinical clerkship at VA Central Iowa Health Care System, where she spent eight months training in an interprofessional clinical setting. While at the VA, she had the opportunity to provide comprehensive chiropractic care to US Military Veterans, as well as participate in clinical rotations in specialties such as pain psychology, substance abuse rehabilitation, radiology, spinal cord injury, cardiology, dietetics, traumatic brain injury, general surgery and primary care.
Dr. Meeks has a special interest in treating chronic back and neck pain, as well as sports-related musculoskeletal injuries. She has advanced training in McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Part A: Lumbar Spine and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. She is currently working towards her acupuncture certification and is excited to incorporate this into her clinical practice in the near future. Dr. Meeks enjoys educating patients on how to optimize function and move better, while not letting their pain experience control their life. In addition to providing high-quality patient-centered care, Dr. Meeks strives to bring a vibrant energy to her practice each day and looks forward to partnering with you on your health journey.
